American Sports Builders Association Honors The Motz Group for Construction Excellence at Lou Berliner Sports Park

The Motz Group of Cincinnati, Ohio is a winner of the Distinguished Multi Field Award, presented by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA).  Motz was recognized for its work on the Lou Berliner Sports Park in Columbus, Ohio.

The Motz Group began management and delivery of this particular project for Lou Berliner Sports Park in 2018. Lou Berliner Sports Park is the nation’s largest ball diamond complex participating in local, state, and national softball, baseball, and fastpitch events. All 24 synthetic turf infields feature The Motz Group’s TriplePlay premiere synthetic turf product designed specifically with baseball and softball in mind. Included in the work was site excavation, concrete perimeter curbing, drainage, and foundation stone, synthetic turf, new dugout slabs, and covers, as well as new chain link fencing, and new foul poles.

The American Sports Builders Association (ASBA), the national organization for builders and suppliers of materials for tennis courts, running tracks, fields and courts & recreational facilities annually recognizes tennis, running tracks, fields and indoor facilities which exemplify construction excellence.  A panel of ASBA members judges entries on elements such as layout and design, site work drainage, base construction, surface, amenities, innovation, and overall impression.
