2021 Motz Community Impact Fund Recipients

2021 continued to challenge many individuals and organizations across the globe. Outreach and establishing meaningful relationships in our communities is a core value for the Motz team, and the difficulties impacting valued partners is near and dear to our hearts – especially during times like this. This year, our annual Motz tradition of giving and connecting to our communities through our Community Impact Fund was even more important than ever before.

We started the 100% employee-funded grant program in 2016, in order to support the important missions of charities, non-profit organizations, and schools across the country. The fund consists solely of pledged monthly donations from our employees who select the grant recipients from a pool of national applicants at the end of each year. 

Thanks to the continued support of our employees to this program, this year we were able to award 15 grants instead of our typical 10. Each of the 15 winners were awarded a $1,000 grant through this effort. We’re proud of our team for continuing – and growing – this legacy of giving.

This year’s grant recipients 

We’re honored to introduce all 15 incredible recipients of the 2021 Motz Community Impact Fund. And the winners are:

Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired
Motivate Ohio’s blind and visually impaired students to practice and improve their braille literacy skills, which are essential to academia and employment success.

Roger Bacon High School
Funds will be used to support Chemo Pax, a program designed to brighten the lives of patients who are experiencing “down” days, especially due to no visitations allowed.

Countryside YMCA
Funds will be used to support the Countryside YMCA’s initiative to delay the progression of Parkinson’s disease for all fitness levels and provide a continuum of care for people with Parkinson’s.

Goshen Local School District
The school district designated their grant to buy Christmas gifts for needy families at our Spaulding Elementary School.

Ethan’s Purpose Inc.
Awarded funds will provide small group counseling in local schools to students who suffer from depression, anxiety, grief and suicidal ideations.

FC Cincinnati Foundation
We will build ten mini pitches by 2024. These pitches provide safe access to learn to play the game.

Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home
DCCH Center will provide a safe home, food, clothing, specialize education, and trauma-informed behavioral therapy to survivors of child abuse in our Residential Treatment Program.

Florence Christian Church
FCC aims to respond to the increased demand for produce and self-stable foods at its twice monthly distributions.

Notre Dame Academy
The project purpose is to provide the proper equipment for our track and field program to enhance the student experience within our athletic program.

Athletes in Action Sports Complex & Retreat Center
Mentor high school inner city male student athletes to become positive leaders and future adults of influence within their communities

Grant County Heritage Trail Foundation
Heritage Trail is striving towards the development of a 48-mile multi-surface, multi-use pathway that would connect the northern and southern border of the county.

St. Lawrence Parish
The goal of Power Rock is to provide shelf stable, calorie dense, kid friendly food to students living with food insecurities.

World Baseball Academy
World Baseball Academy organizes Adaptive Programs serving at-risk youth boys and girls, helping them reach their full potential, overcoming obstacles of intellectual or physical disability.

Ohio Premier Girls Soccer Club of Dublin OH
Transform an underused & misused space of grass and turn it into a safe space for the refugee kids in the community to play soccer

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful
The purpose of New Lines 2022 is to reclaim historic alleyways by infusing art into these once neglected spaces to create a safe space for all community members.
