As a result of exceptional quality craftsmanship, The Motz Group (TMG) has been selected by the American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) as a winner in the Multi Field category of the association annual awards program. TMG is being recognized for our work at Bishop Chatard High School Athletic Complex in Indianapolis, Indiana.
In the spring of 2012, TMG was chosen to install the synthetic sports turf fields at the Bishop Chatard High School Athletic Complex. The site would soon house the first all-synthetic turf high-school level baseball field to ever be installed in Indiana, along with a state-of-the-art synthetic multi-purpose playing field.
The ASBA, the national organization for builders and suppliers of materials for tennis courts, running tracks, field and indoor sports flooring annually recognizes tennis, track, field and indoor facilities that exemplify construction excellence. An ASBA member panel of judges review entries on elements such as layout and design, site work drainage base construction, surface, amenities, innovation, and overall impression.
TMG is proud to be one of the few organizations to have multiple ASBA Certified Field Builders on staff further solidifying our commitment to delivering a superior end-result. The Certified Field Builder Program was developed by the ASBA to help raise professional standards and to improve the practice of field construction. Obtaining a certification of this caliber takes many years of experience, a vast amount of knowledge, and true dedication to building quality, well-structured fields. “We were really impressed with the quality, look, and feel of the fields that The Motz Group had done. We did our research, explored all of our options – nine providers to be exact, and in the end they were the obvious choice,” shared Bill Sahm, President of Bishop Chatard.
As a winner in the Multi Field category, Bishop Chatard High School Athletic Complex is in the running for ASBA’s Facility of the Year award to be announced at the closing dinner on December 9, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas.
